SeaTac Police Explorers is a group of youth volunteers, ages 14-20, who are interested in the field of Law Enforcement. There is no residency requirement; current members hail from throughout King County. Explorers may aspire to become police officers while others may merely be interested in learning about the profession. Explorers work city events such as the International Festival, 4th of July Carnival, or the SeaTac Christmas Tree Lighting event. In addition, they assist the Department with large crime scenes by conducting evidence searches and controlling scene perimeters. Explorers may also go on ride-alongs with patrol officers.
Application process include: application, Background check, Interview.
