GENERAL

 

Our Mission: 
Mount Rainier High School promotes the growth of every student and seeks to create principled, knowledgeable, and inquisitive graduates empowered to lead productive and caring lives in a global society.

 

No Food Deliveries for Students:  Students are Not allowed to order Uber Eats or Door Dash or any other food delivery like pizza, etc during school hours. 

 

High School Summer School:  Summer School registration is open to Class of 2020, 2021, & 2022 students who have taken courses and not passed and are behind in credits.  Date is July 1 – August 1; Monday – Friday 8am – 11am at Mount Rainier HS.  Students may earn .5 or 1.0 credit.  Cost is $50 per .5 credit or $25 per .5 credit for students who qualify for free and reduced lunch.  See your counselor to sign up.

 

SPORTS/CLUBS

 

MRHS DRAMA Presents: RENT Musical!  The story of life & love as seen through the eyes of artists in New York City in the late 20th century.  Come see this wonderful performance by our students.  Remaining Performances are May 10 & 11 at 7pm plus 2pm Matinee on 5/11.  Tickets are $ 10 or $8 with ASB. All tickets sold at the door.

 

PROM:  FIRE & ICE Saturday, June 1st at the Seattle Art Museum from 8 – 11pm! 

Tickets on sale beginning May 13.  Variable Pricing so Buy Early!  MRHS Picture ID required to buy ticket and enter dance.

Guest Pass approved by guest’s school and MRHS administration required to purchase ticket for non MRHS guest. Students with fines may not purchase or attend Prom. 

Ticket Prices:  5/13–17 w/ASB $40 & No ASB $45; 5/20-24 w/ASB $45 & No ASB $50; 5/28-31 ALL tickets $55.

 

Yearbook on Sale:  Final Pre-Sale for 2019 Yearbook begins May 13!  Don’t miss out on the memories.  $ 65 cash or check while they last.

2019 Graduation:  Wednesday, June 19th at ShoWare @ 3pm. 

                                               

Graduation Orders have arrived from Jostens. Please pick up your pre-ordered items from Bookkeeping.  If you have not ordered, you still can directly through www.RRGrad.com.

 

Graduation Ticket distribution is under review.  Sorry for confusion, we are trying to meet as many needs as possible.

 

COLLEGE & CAREER

U.S. Service Academy Night, organized by Congressman Adam Smith.

Learn the process to obtain a congressional nomination to the U.S. Service Academies.  You can also meet and ask questions of representatives from the five U.S. Service Academies:

  • U.S. Military Academy at West Point
  • U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
  • U.S. Coast Guard Academy
  • U.S. Air Force Academy
  • U.S. Naval Academy
