Our Mission: 
Mount Rainier High School promotes the growth of every student and seeks to create principled, knowledgeable, and inquisitive graduates empowered to lead productive and caring lives in a global society.


Latino Family Fiesta:  Friday, March 29th at Mount Rainier HS from 5:30 – 8:30pm.  Dinner 5:30 – 6:00pm (potluck donations welcome).  Program:  Our Hopes and Dreams (panel of MRHS Latino Students); Music & Dance Performances; Information Tables (colleges, universities, MRHS counseling, sports & activities, community organizations).  For information or to volunteer call 206-631-7000 and ask for Linda.


PSSC Fashion Show:  The Fashion Design and Marketing program at PSSC is bringing you all the annual “Student Produced Fashion Show”!  This year’s theme will be “Street Culture”.  Come join us on Saturday, March 30th at 2:00pm in the Health and Science building at PSSC.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Seattle Children’s Hospital.  Thank you for your support.




Yearbook Pictures Needed:  Rams, Yearbook need you to help us get more pictures for the yearbook!  Send in your favorite pictures or pictures you want to see in the yearbook.  You can do this by sending them to the yearbook Snap App or by going to  Password:  rams    You can also come to Room 1215 for help.


PROM:  Hi Rams!  Make sure you mark your calendars on June 1st for this year’s Prom at the Seattle Art Museum!  Remember the theme is Fire & Ice.  Watch out for more announcements as we get closer to June!


2019-20 Cheer Team Tryouts:  Tryouts will be March 27 – 29 from 5:30pm – 7:00pm with the Finals on March 30th at 10am.  To tryout candidates must sign up on FamilyID and pick up a Tryout packet in the Main office.


2019-20 Dance Team Tryouts:  Tryouts are April 29 – May 3.  Tryout Packets are available in the main office.  Sign up on FamilyID and make sure your physical is current.



Graduation Orders Delivery!!  Caps, Gowns, Announcements and other items ordered will be delivered by Jostens during lunches on Wednesday, March 27th.  Plan to be here to pick up your Graduation items 11:10 – 12:35.  Pay order balances to Jostens. Clear fines at MRHS or cap/gown (only) will be held.


Yearbook Senior Dedication Pages – It is NOT too lateParents, Students, Friends, & Groups…Here is an opportunity to dedicate space in the 2019 yearbook to your senior!  You choose the size (full page $ 200; ½ page $ 100 or ¼ page $50) and the pictures/design and yearbook will put them in the book!  Space is limited, first come first serve.  Payment deadline is 3/29 and design deadline is 3/29.  More detailed information and order form are found on MRHS website under Yearbook.


2019 Graduation:  Wednesday, June 19th at ShoWare @ 3pm. 


Graduation Class Speaker Sign-up:  Seniors!  Are you interested in being one of the class speakers at graduation??  There are two slots available for those who wish to speak about their high school experience and their vision for the future.  Please submit a draft of your speech to Mr. Records in the main office by Friday, March 29.


Cap/Gown Orders will arrive here in a couple of months from Jostens.  If you have not ordered, you still can directly through  Order packets are in the main office.  Pay off any remaining balance before delivery.

FutureU Field Trip – Be prepared for the future you choose!


Attention 11th graders and your families: Wed.  March 27th all 11th graders will be attending FutureU which is a HPS district sponsored event at Green River College. All participants will experience the following:

  • Resource fair highlighting post-secondary pathways including 4 and 2 year colleges and universities, technical and trade programs, military branches, internships and community resources.
  • FutureU mock college registration simulation highlights support services, and resources.  Students will budget financial aid and scholarships, and utilize campus resources to navigate “Life Happens" scenarios to give hands on experience navigating the post-secondary enrollment process and explore resources available on college campuses.
  • Campus tour of Green River College featuring 2 year trade and technical programs and pathways.
