Our Mission:

The English Language Proficiency Assessment will be given to all of our English Language Learners starting February 10th. The ELPA is very important because it will help us improve our support of EL students at MRHS. Students will test in the library the week of February 10-13th and will take the Speaking portion of the test the following week, Feb. 18th-21st. It’s time for the Waskowitz Spring Leadership Training Weekend and your chance to change lives, have fun, and get a .5 elective credit. This opportunity is open to all 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. Latino Club is selling roses for Valentines’ Day!

Latino Club will be taking orders for roses and mini-bouquets at both lunches through Wed, Feb. 12. Valentine's Day roses will be delivered to students and staff during 5th pd. on Thursday, February 13th. You can order:

- 1 perfect red rose for only $2
- 1 rose mini-bouquet (2 perfect red roses + baby's breath or greens) $5

With the roses you can choose a white heart (friendship); pink heart (crush) or red heart (love) tag which will be attached to the rose.
Bring cash or check and you need to know the 5th pd. class room number of the student/staff member receiving the rose.

Students and staff love receiving these beautiful roses during class for Valentine's Day, so join in our yearly tradition and share the love!

Club Registration Open:  All students may now register for Clubs in FamilyID @  All Club Members must register.  Keep track of what is happening in clubs and activities! 


Spring Sports FamilyID Registration Begins on Feb 3.  Spring Sports Season begins 3/2 (first practice): Baseball, Softball, Girls Tennis, Boys Soccer, Track & Field.  Make sure your physical is valid, fines paid, and register on FamilyID.




Graduation:  Mount Rainier High School Class of 2020 will graduate at ShoWare Center on Wednesday, June 17th at Noon.

Senior Dedications:  Yearbook is now selling senor dedications. Honor your senior with an ad in our yearbook. Space is limited so they will be sold until all space is reserved or March 1, whichever comes first.  Prices:  ¼ page $50; ½ page $100; Full page $200.

Scholarships available through the Boeing Academy for STEM Learning at the Museum of Flight

Attention Seniors:  If you have ever participated in a Museum of Flight education program, you may be eligible to apply for a scholarship ($118,000 over four years) to pursue a STEM degree that is directly related to aviation and aerospace. Visit the Museum’s scholarship page to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity and to learn about other scholarship awards.  Applications are due February 1 and include essays, recommendations and submission of your high school transcript. Early application is highly encouraged.

Attention, all students:  The Museum offers flight training scholarships to pursue a private pilot license. Awards are from $10,000 to $12,000.  Visit the Museum’s scholarship page to find application information.  Due date: February 1. Early application is encouraged.
