GENERAL

Our Mission: 
Mount Rainier High School promotes the growth of every student and seeks to create principled, knowledgeable, and inquisitive graduates empowered to lead productive and caring lives in a global society.

 

First Day of School 2020 – 2021:  the tentative first day of school will be Thursday, Sept 3rd for grades 1-12 pending approval of HEA membership.

 

The English Language Proficiency Assessment will be given to all of our English Language Learners starting February 10th. The ELPA is very important because it will help us improve our support of EL students at MRHS. Students will test in the library the week of February 10-13th and will take the Speaking portion of the test the following week, Feb. 18th-21st. Students will receive a test notice in Advisory today with their test time and location. Physics Tutoring now available!  Monday – Friday after school.  Check with teacher for specific times and rooms.

 

SPORTS/CLUBS

 

Latino Club is selling roses for Valentines’ Day!

Latino Club will be taking orders for roses and mini-bouquets at both lunches through Wed, Feb. 12. Valentine's Day roses will be delivered to students and staff during 5th pd. on Thursday, February 13th. You can order:

- 1 perfect red rose for only $2
- 1 rose mini-bouquet (2 perfect red roses + baby's breath or greens) $5

With the roses you can choose a white heart (friendship); pink heart (crush) or red heart (love) tag which will be attached to the rose.
Bring cash or check and you need to know the 5th pd. class room number of the student/staff member receiving the rose.

Students and staff love receiving these beautiful roses during class for Valentine's Day, so join in our yearly tradition and share the love!

Club Registration Open:  All students may now register for Clubs in FamilyID @ https://www.familyid.com/programs.  All Club Members must register.  Keep track of what is happening in clubs and activities! 

 

Spring Sports FamilyID Registration has begun.  Spring Sports Season begins 3/2 (first practice): Baseball, Softball, Girls Tennis, Boys Soccer, Track & Field.  Make sure your physical is valid, fines paid, and register on FamilyID.

 

SENIORS

 

Graduation:  Mount Rainier High School Class of 2020 will graduate at ShoWare Center on Wednesday, June 17th at Noon.

 

Josten’s Graduation delivery Thursday, March 26 during lunches. Order or complete payment on-line at www.RRGrad.com.

 

Senior Dedications:  Yearbook is now selling senor dedications. Honor your senior with an ad in our yearbook. Space is limited so they will be sold until all space is reserved or March 1, whichever comes first.  Prices:  ¼ page $50; ½ page $100; Full page $200.
